I am the silence you heard in the depth of your night…
I am the Not-I bird who knocked at your door..
I am the little wing that grasped your finger..
I am the nobody that you wanted to ignore..
I am the freedom you wanted to get drunk with all your life..
I am the shatterer of walls that you yourself want to be..
I am the awkward dream you wanted to hide..
I am the feather you left lying on the floor while running after time..
I am the tomorrows you wish to possess but dare not to acquire…
I am the flitting beam of blue light that you attempt to comprehend..
I am the question without answers..
I am the answer with no questions..
I am the mirror that laughs at your decayed innards..
I am that which grips you by your wrist in loneliness..
I am that which you walk away from in your haste to capture lies..

What more can i say? I don’t have to pay and buy books if I feel like reading poetry.

Awesome poem.
The rest of your poetry is nice too.
The problem with poetry, though, is that it is so easily misunderstood.

I am the reader who made this poem.
I am the luckly fellow who came to know “Who are you?”.

There’s nothing about your gender on your blog either!
I’m not much into English poetry. So, I can’t comment on that. I like your English though

Ok, an image has just finished loading next to “Who am I?”. If that’s you, it answers my question.

Yes. I uploaded the image only yesterday after one reader commented innumerable times, added me up on gtalk and chatted with me for over 20 minutes, and all the while assuming I was a guy!!!!!
The first thing that came to my mind, was you! lol..

Is the poem complete? Or, it is a song that will keep floating in different heights everyday, to write to story of life.
Brilliant.

Hi Waseem… it is true in a way that I stopped the poem abruptly because I could go on and on once I start off about myself.. hehehe
Kidding, of course!

How refreshing!
I followed your links into a labyrinth of words and images like Alice In Wonderland and found myself dragging myself out of selfpity and melancholy and laughing and feeling, even for just a moment…..damn you!
You are a wordsmith. You are 32 flavours and then some……*bookmarked for another day/night*…..

This is a surprise. I came here to see what top post widget you have because I saw you someplace saying that you were looking for a new top post widget. The problem is that today the “top posts” have vanished from my two blogs, and so I have been trying to find out what the problem was.
I do not understand English poetry. It is too subjective, the same as many blogs. Or, as Ruben Dario put it: they are squeezing their own souls like old dry lemons. No, he did not say it quite like that, but you know (or don’t you?) that poetry does not translate, and so I paraphrased. I think he said “somos los mendigos de nuestras pobres almas”: we are beggars to our poor souls. Well, that tends to exhaust those same poor souls.
Do you know some Spanish poetry?
