Jhalak Dikhla Ja

Jhalak dikhla ja.. I am sure all of us have heard this song. Some of us, including me, laugh our heads off.

It seems in a certain village this song is not played because it causes some ghosts to appear around the area and these ghosts possess the listeners. I have heard of donkeys being attracted to sonorous songs like the one in question.. Ghosts?! Well.. Nobody can save India! 😀 Hilarious!

  1. “Some of us, including me, laugh our heads off.”

Why? Himesh rocks!! So, you’re in Chennai, eh? Thanks for being the “lucky” first visitor! 🙂

  2. Thought I’d left a comment here. Did you delete it by any chance? 🙂

Please don’t insult my favorite singer. It’s not fair.

Also, thanks for being the first “lucky” visitor to our blog. 🙂

    BTW, are you from Chennai?

  3. Hey

Relax! I moderate all the comments..

Yeah yeah favorite singer alright.. 😉

But why is he so “ngngasal”? :p

I agree with the term, “lucky” first visitor.. not first “lucky” visitor! 😉

I am in Chennai indeed.. why planning to send some gifts my way? 😀

  4. “Relax! I moderate all the comments..”

You had me worried there for a while! Phew. Glad to know my post wasn’t lost.
Regarding Reshammiyya, he’s more popular than Rahman today. Apparently, most people don’t care about his “ngngasal” (lol) voice.
Actually, my family’s in Chennai and I need to send them some money ($10,000). Can you give it to them? I’ll repay you same time next year! :p Also, can you buy them a nice car and a house in Egmore? If I think of anything else, I’ll let you know.

  5. Apparently I dont care about “popular” people!

Regarding your family, I dont mind doing this “small” favour for a “big” fan.. I mean Reshammiya’s

The commission for this tiny favor would be around $100000. Tell me where I can come with my henchmen to collect the money!

Also if you provide your family’s address, it will be easier for us to kidnap them! 😛

  6. It’s a Jethro Tull song, right? “Wond’ring aloud”??
By the way, why don’t you send the money to my family first and then send your henchmen to Arizona? But seriously, most of my family lives in Chennai and my cousin’s a journalist there. That’s why I was wondering… aloud.

  7. Sure. Please send the tickets to Dr. Abdul Kalam, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi. My henchmen are his bodyguards. So they will come directly to collect the amount.

As for your parents, you have still not given the address. Our men are running out of ppl to abduct. Take pity on them!!

Hey and I love Jethro Tull!

  8. I like a few songs of theirs – Aqualung, Teacher, Dun Ringil, Cross Eyed Mary, …

    Here’s the addres:
    1213 Kumbakonam Drive, Apt. 11c
    Kodambakkam, Chennai 600238

Go kidnap them. I’ve informed them so they’re waiting for your henchmen.

  9. Yeah yeah.. I saw the “Kumbakonam” bit clearly.. :p

So you calling your parents wild geese? 😐
    Hahahaha..

I like Aqualung, Inside, Locomotive Breath, Sossity, and Thick as a brick among others.

  10. “So you calling your parents wild geese?”

    Haha.

Pink Floyd and Beatles are my favorites. Jethro Tull is among the ones I like. I haven’t listened to Sossity yet. Locomotive Breath is not bad. 🙂

By the way, I’ve updated the Zune blog, if you haven’t checked it out yet.

  11. I like Pink Floyd but I would not know any of the bands top to bottom. Maybe a few catchy songs from more number of bands. That is my style of listening.

I will see the Zune blog! 🙂

  12. Don’t insult the following on either your site or mine:
    1. Reshammiya
    2. Anu Malik (now known as Aanu Mallick)
    3. Bappi Lahari
    4. Johny Lever
    5. Rob Schneider
    6. Sunil shetty

Don’t insult the following on my site:
    1. Yahoo!
    2. Microsoft
    3. McDonalds
    4. Iyengar Bakery
    5. Shahrukh

    To be continued…

  13. I dont know if there is anybody called sue bosey. You can find out. Maybe she is the “daughter of bosey”.. hehe!

..and what do you mean you dont know how Iyengar bakery got in there!

  14. “I dont know if there is anybody called sue bosey. You can find out. Maybe she is the “daughter of bosey”.. hehe!”

    Haha.

“..and what do you mean you dont know how Iyengar bakery got in there!”

I mean you put it in there. You’re discrediting me!!! No, but seriously, I have no idea why I put that in the list.

By the way, I am a fan of Microsoft (as you may have already noticed from some of the comments on my blog). I am trying to avoid such articles and comments on the blog but I’m not always successful. Frankly, I don’t understand why so many Indians hate the company. Perhaps I never will!

  15. No. If at all I wanted to include something in there I would have put Muniyandi Vilas and Ramarajan.

If you dont know them then you are not fit to live in India. :p

The snobs generally hate anything that is mainstream.. I dont hate Microsoft. Cannot spend so much energy on hating it.. 😀

  16. No. I haven’t heard of them. 🙂

And that’s why I left the country a few years ago, not because I was looking for greener pastures.

BTW, I like the mapping feature on your site. Unfortunately, they’re not accepting new members. 😦

  17. “Stop spamming my blog.”
That wasn’t a nice thing to say. I’m terribly hurt!

“It allows membership by invitation. I can invite you if you wish.”
Now that’s nice. Yes, could you invite me?? Thanks!
